Professor dr. Daniela-Elena Oprea-Lager, MD, PhD, is nuclear medicine phyisician at the Department of Medical Imaging, Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She is the chair of the Imaging Subcommittee Group ‘Bone & Oligometastases’ of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and the Chair of the Foundation ‘PSMA Forum NL’, a multicenter, multidisciplinary platform for all PSMA users in the Netherlands. She is also a full-member of the ‘Prostate Cancer Guidelines Panel’ within the European Association of Urology (EAU) and a member of the ‘Oncology & Theranostics’ committee of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM).
Prof.Oprea-Lager is the liaison with the EAU and the EANM’s representative in the scientific committee of the European Multidisciplinary Congress on Urological Cancers (EMUC). Her research interests concentrate on implementation of new oncological diagnostic and therapeutic tracers in clinical practice, monitoring treatment effects and radioligand therapy in Uro-Oncology. In this frame, she played a conducive role in the granting of multiple projects, in which she also had a major personal involvement. She authored more than 100 peer-reviewed Journal publications. Her prime ambition is to harmoniously combine patient care, scientific research and transferring her expertise to future generations of doctors.
